Teaching Philosophy
As a brass educator, I believe music is both a discipline and a form of personal expression—grounded in tradition, shaped by innovation, and made powerful through human connection. I draw from the time-tested foundations of brass technique and ensemble performance, while embracing modern tools and diverse musical styles that reflect the world my students live in today.
Above all, I teach with empathy. Every student brings a unique voice, story, and learning style to the room. My goal is to meet them where they are, challenge them to grow, and help them discover not just how to play, but why music matters. Whether we’re working on tone, phrasing, or just building confidence, I aim to make each lesson a space for discovery, growth, and joy.
